In short
Yes. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered streams on GeForce NOW from Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, the Xbox app and Battle.net, on a paid plan. If you already owned the game, the remaster was a free upgrade on September 29, 2026, with both expansions thrown in. Boosteroid runs the Steam, Epic and Battle.net versions, Xbox Cloud Gaming streams a bought Xbox copy with any Game Pass plan, and PlayStation Plus Premium streams a bought PS5 copy. New, the game costs $49.99.

The remaster is a lot heavier than the game you played in 2015. CD Projekt Red now lists 64-bit Windows 11 and a 60 GB SSD in every tier of its requirements, and asks for an RTX 2060 Super for its recommended settings. Ray tracing at 1440p and 60 frames per second takes an RTX 4080, and path tracing at 4K takes an RTX 5080 with DLSS and Frame Generation. If your PC is older than that, still on Windows 10, or a Mac, the cloud is the cheaper way back to the Continent.
How to play The Witcher 3 Remastered on GeForce NOW
- Check that the game is in your library on Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, the Xbox app or Battle.net. If you owned any version before, the remaster and both expansions are already there. If not, it’s $49.99 on Steam.
- Subscribe to a paid GeForce NOW plan. Performance costs $9.99 a month and Ultimate $19.99. The free plan doesn’t start this game.
- Open GeForce NOW in its app or at play.geforcenow.com, find The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, sign in to your store and press Play. It’s ready to play, with nothing to install.
Performance streams at 1440p and 60 frames per second with ray tracing. Ultimate runs on RTX 5080-class machines, the card CD Projekt Red asks for to play with path tracing, so that’s the plan to pick if you want to see the new lighting at its best. Our guide to the DLSS 4.5 controls shows how to tune the upscaling from the GeForce NOW side.
Keep an eye on the clock. Both paid plans stop at 100 hours a month, and a game this long, with two expansions on top, can eat that faster than you’d think. NVIDIA sells blocks of 15 more hours.
How to play The Witcher 3 Remastered on Boosteroid
Boosteroid runs the Steam, Epic Games Store and Battle.net versions, each as its own entry, so pick the one that matches where you own the game. A GOG or Xbox copy won’t start there. It costs €16.89 a month in Europe, or €89.89 for a year, and has no free plan.
How to stream The Witcher 3 Remastered on Xbox Cloud Gaming
The game isn’t in Game Pass, but Xbox Cloud Gaming streams it if you own the Xbox version. Any plan works: Essential at $9.99 a month, Premium at $14.99 or Ultimate at $22.99. It’s an Xbox Play Anywhere game, so the same digital purchase also gives you the PC version, which GeForce NOW starts too. From November 2026, cloud play has a monthly hour limit on every plan: 5 hours on Essential, 10 on Premium and 15 on Ultimate.
How to stream The Witcher 3 Remastered with PlayStation Plus Premium
The PlayStation Store marks the PS5 version for cloud streaming with Premium, on a PS5 or a PlayStation Portal. It works with a copy you bought: the game isn’t in the PlayStation Plus catalogue, so Premium pays for the stream, not the game. Sony’s Windows app streams PS4 and classic games only.
How to play The Witcher 3 Remastered on Shadow
Shadow rents you a whole Windows PC, so you install the game from whichever store you bought it on, GOG included. Neo Lite, the cheapest plan, costs $29.99 a month for a PC with an RTX 2000 Ada graphics card and 120 hours of play. That card is well short of what path tracing asks for.
Can you play The Witcher 3 Remastered on a Mac or a Steam Deck?
There’s no Mac version, so on a Mac it’s the cloud: GeForce NOW, Boosteroid and Shadow all have macOS apps, and Xbox Cloud Gaming runs in a browser. On the Steam Deck, Valve rates the game Verified, so it runs on the Deck itself. The GeForce NOW app for the Steam Deck is the way to get the ray-traced version you can’t run locally.
What’s new in The Witcher 3 Remastered, and what it costs

The remaster came out on September 29, 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. On PC, it brings native DirectX 12, path tracing, DLSS 4.5 with Ray Reconstruction, FSR 4 and XeSS 2, along with textures from the HD Reworked Project and new lighting. The game itself changed too. Skills now sit in a tree with three ranks each, and your skill points were reset, so plan a respec before you load an old save. There’s also a new combat camera, a gear reforging service, a much bigger photo mode, an in-game mod browser and an accessibility preset called Bard’s Ballad.
Owners on Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S got the upgrade for free, and anyone who owns the base game now gets Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine with it. Battle.net started selling the game on the same day. A new expansion, Songs of the Past, is due in 2027.
