Cloud gaming runs the game on a computer in a data centre and streams the picture to your screen. The game never installs on your device, so a laptop, a phone or a TV is enough.
There are two kinds of service. Some run the games you already own on Steam or Epic. Others sell a subscription with a library of games inside it. Xbox does both: Game Pass games are included, and games you buy on the Xbox store stream too.
