You cannot skip the GeForce NOW queue with a setting or a trick. A queue means that your region has no free machine, and your connection does not matter. Three things shorten it: play outside peak hours, change the server region in the app settings, or leave the free plan. Paid members wait in a separate, much shorter priority queue.
Each GeForce NOW session runs on a real GPU machine in an NVIDIA data center. When all machines in your region are busy, you wait. That is why the wait is long on weekday evenings and gone at 7 a.m. It is rush hour, not your internet.
1. Play outside the rush
Each region is busiest from about 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. local time, and worst on Friday and Saturday. On weekday mornings and early afternoons the queue is almost empty, even on the free plan. If your schedule permits it, this one habit beats all the other tricks.
2. Change your server region
The app picks the nearest region. You can change it in Settings. A region one country away often has free machines at the moment yours is full. 10 to 20 ms of more ping is a better deal than a 25-minute wait. Our Servers page shows the live status of each region.
Off-peak hours plus a manual region change remove most of the wait, and cost nothing.
3. Leave the free plan
Free users share the smallest pool of machines and start last. NVIDIA calls free sessions standard access. Performance and Ultimate members get priority machines and pass the free queue. If you play each day, the upgrade gives you your evenings back. Both paid plans stop at 100 hours each month.
4. Before you start a session
- Open the Servers page and look at the status of your region.
- Do not play on the evening of a big release. All players queue for the same game.
- Stay in your session. If you leave at peak hours, you queue again.
- If the queue says 30 minutes or more, change region first, then try again.

Is there a way to skip the GeForce NOW queue?
Not on the free plan. Videos that promise a queue skip show a region change or a VPN, which is the same thing: another region that has a free machine right now. A paid plan is the only real skip. It puts you in the priority queue, which is short at almost every hour.
Can I skip the queue for free?
You can avoid most of it for free. Play before 6 p.m. or after 11 p.m. local time, and change region by hand when yours is full. Both cost nothing. Nothing on the free plan lets you pass the people ahead of you.
Does a faster internet connection shorten the queue?
No. The queue depends on the number of machines in your region, not on your bandwidth. Your connection matters only after the session starts.
Do paid members really pass the queue?
They wait in a separate priority queue. NVIDIA sells it as exactly that. At most hours they start long before the free queue.
Why is my queue long at midnight?
The app sent you to a region in a different time zone, at its own peak hour. Or a popular game came out today. Change region by hand.
