In short

Yes. Enshrouded streams on GeForce NOW from the Steam version you own, on a paid plan, with nothing to install. Boosteroid runs the same Steam copy, but you install it on its machine first. PlayStation Plus Premium streams a bought PS5 copy. There’s no Xbox version until spring 2027, so Xbox Cloud Gaming doesn’t have it. Version 1.0 came out on October 15, 2026, and the game costs $39.99.

Two armored players stand among ruins under floating rock islands in a pale sky.

Enshrouded is a co-op game first. Up to 16 players share a world, build a base together and push back the Shroud, and the fun depends on everyone in the group being able to run it. Keen Games asks for a GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of memory and 16 GB of RAM at the minimum, and an RTX 2070 Super for its recommended settings. The friend on a laptop or a Mac is usually the one who can’t join. The cloud fixes that.

How to play Enshrouded on GeForce NOW

  1. Buy the game on Steam. It costs $39.99. If you bought it in Early Access, you already own 1.0.
  2. Subscribe to a paid GeForce NOW plan. Performance costs $9.99 a month and Ultimate $19.99. The free plan doesn’t start this game.
  3. Open GeForce NOW in its app or at play.geforcenow.com, find Enshrouded, sign in to Steam and press Play. It’s ready to play, with nothing to install.

Co-op works the way it does on a PC: each player needs their own copy, and anyone streaming needs their own subscription. A player on GeForce NOW can join a friend who plays on a local PC, and the other way round. The game keeps its saves in Steam Cloud, so a character you made at home is there when you stream.

Paid plans stop at 100 hours a month. A survival game you play every evening with friends can get close to that, and NVIDIA sells blocks of 15 more hours.

How to play Enshrouded on Boosteroid

Boosteroid runs the Steam version as an Install & Play title. You sign in to Steam on its cloud machine and install the game there before the first session, so allow time for the download. It costs €16.89 a month in Europe, or €89.89 for a year, and has no free plan.

How to stream Enshrouded with PlayStation Plus Premium

The PlayStation Store marks the PS5 version for cloud streaming with Premium, on a PS5 or a PlayStation Portal. It works with a copy you bought: the game isn’t in the PlayStation Plus catalogue. Keep in mind that Enshrouded has no cross-platform play, so a PS5 player can’t join friends who play on PC.

How to play Enshrouded on Shadow

Shadow rents you a whole Windows PC, so you install Enshrouded from Steam like at home. Neo Lite, the cheapest plan, costs $29.99 a month for a PC with an RTX 2000 Ada graphics card and 120 hours of play.

Can you play Enshrouded on a Mac, a Steam Deck or an Xbox?

There’s no Mac version, so on a Mac it’s the cloud: GeForce NOW, Boosteroid and Shadow all have macOS apps. Valve rated version 1.0 Verified for the Steam Deck on October 23, so it runs on the Deck itself. The GeForce NOW app for the Steam Deck streams it too. The Xbox Series X|S version is planned for spring 2027.

What’s new in Enshrouded 1.0, and what it costs

A player stands in a green courtyard beside a half-built stone house, with a ruined cathedral behind.

Enshrouded spent more than two years in Early Access before version 1.0 came out on October 15, 2026, on PC and PS5. The full release opens the last region, Cinder’s Cradle, a lava wasteland with floating islands above it, and finishes the main story. The level cap goes up to 50, lore notes and the main survivors now have voices, and a logic system called Sparkworks lets you build your own puzzles, traps and arenas to share with other players. Early Access saves carry over, though Keen Games suggests starting again, since the first hours changed a lot.
