Is WARDOGS on cloud gaming? Yes, on GeForce NOW

The one thing that is easy to miss is that GeForce NOW does not include the game. Buy WARDOGS on Steam, connect that Steam account to GeForce NOW, then search for the game and press Play. NVIDIA added it at the Early Access launch and keeps it ready on its servers, so there is nothing to download or patch on your device.

That is why an older laptop or a Mac can be enough. Your device only has to run the GeForce NOW app or a supported browser and receive the video stream; it does not need to meet WARDOGS’ local PC requirements. Your progress and achievements remain attached to the same Steam account if you later play on a PC.

Not according to NVIDIA’s current catalogue. WARDOGS is marked as requiring a Premium membership, which means any paid GeForce NOW plan. You still need to own the game on Steam. Its Ready-to-Play label only means NVIDIA keeps the game installed on its servers; it does not, by itself, guarantee access on the free membership.

If the free membership is offered in your region, test your connection with another free-tier game before paying. Performance adds access to WARDOGS, shorter queues, longer sessions and a better picture; Ultimate is mainly useful if you have a high-refresh or 4K display. Prices and available plans vary by country, so check NVIDIA’s local membership page before subscribing.

The honest answer is that it depends on where you live and how stable your connection is. A high download speed does not guarantee a responsive game if the nearest GeForce NOW server is far away or your Wi-Fi is inconsistent. Use Ethernet if you can; reliable Wi-Fi can work too.

Test GeForce NOW on the device and network you intend to use before paying for a plan. We have not benchmarked WARDOGS ourselves, so we cannot promise that it will feel identical to running the game locally.

Among the services tracked by Cloudplay, GeForce NOW is the only one that currently has WARDOGS. It is not on Boosteroid, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation Plus or Amazon Luna today. That can change, especially on Boosteroid, so use our WARDOGS page for the latest catalogue status rather than treating this as permanent.

WARDOGS is still in Early Access. That matters because stability and performance can change quickly after launch, but cloud availability does not change what you are buying: a Steam copy of an unfinished game, not a game included with the GeForce NOW membership.
