Is Modern Warfare 4 on GeForce NOW? Not yet. It streams on Xbox Cloud if you buy it

1. Buy the game on the Xbox store. The Standard Edition costs $69.99.
2. Subscribe to any Game Pass plan. Essential, $9.99 a month, is enough.
3. Open xbox.com/play in a browser, or the Xbox app on a PC, an Xbox, a Fire TV or a smart TV, and press Play from October 23.

Modern Warfare 4 is not in Game Pass. Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 came out in Game Pass, this one does not. The subscription pays for the stream, and the game is a separate purchase.

Xbox Cloud Gaming streams the Xbox Series X version, at 1080p on Essential and Premium and up to 1440p on Ultimate. From November 2026, each plan includes a set number of cloud hours a month: 5 on Essential, 10 on Premium and 15 on Ultimate. Microsoft will sell extra hours and has not given their price.

Not yet. NVIDIA has not added it to its game list, and it is not among the games NVIDIA named for October.

The open beta streamed on GeForce NOW from August 28 to September 1, on every plan, the free one included. Black Ops 7 came to GeForce NOW on its launch day in November 2025. Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare III and Modern Warfare II are on the service too, and the free plan starts all of them.

Call of DutyThe Call of Duty app, with Black Ops 7 and Warzone.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6On GeForce NOW and Boosteroid.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IIIOn GeForce NOW, Boosteroid and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Every Call of Duty on GeForce NOW plays from a copy bought on Battle.net, Steam or the Xbox app for PC. If you want GeForce NOW as an option later, buy the PC version on one of those three.

The free plan gives one-hour sessions at 1080p and 60 fps, after a queue and ads. Performance, $9.99 a month, and Ultimate, $19.99, skip the free queue and stop at 100 hours a month. Ultimate runs on RTX 5080 servers, up to 360 fps at 1080p. Our servers page shows the queue in every region.

Not on Boosteroid yet. Boosteroid carried the beta, from Steam and the Xbox store, and its Call of Duty app runs Black Ops 7 and Warzone. It costs €16.89 a month, or €89.89 for a year, and has no free plan.

Shadow rents you a whole Windows PC. Shadow lists Black Ops 7 and Warzone among the games that cannot run on its virtual machines, even with Secure Boot on. Modern Warfare 4 asks for the same TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. Shadow has not listed it yet.

PlayStation Plus Premium streams some PS5 games you buy. The PlayStation Store page for Modern Warfare 4 does not list cloud streaming. Amazon Luna does not have the game.

Not as a download. Activision makes the PC version for Windows, and Valve has not rated it for the Steam Deck. For Black Ops 7, NVIDIA said GeForce NOW was the only way to play it on a Steam Deck.

At launch, the route on a Mac or a Steam Deck is Xbox Cloud Gaming in a browser, with the game bought on the Xbox store and a Game Pass plan. On a Mac, Microsoft asks for macOS 14.1.2 or later. GeForce NOW has apps for macOS and the Steam Deck, and they become the other route once NVIDIA adds the game.

On PC, Modern Warfare 4 requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. The check runs on the machine that runs the game. In the cloud, that machine belongs to the service, and your own PC only receives the video. Its BIOS settings never come up.

If your PC fails the Secure Boot check, Xbox Cloud Gaming still plays the game, with no download.

Modern Warfare 4 comes out on October 23, 2026, at 04:00 UTC, or 9 pm PT on October 22. It is on PC (Battle.net, Steam and the Xbox app), PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version.

The Standard Edition costs $69.99 and the Vault Edition $99.99. A digital edition bought before October 23 opens the campaign from October 16.

Modern Warfare 4 is Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty for 2026. North Korea invades the South, and the campaign follows a squad of young South Korean soldiers on the front line, while Captain Price fights his own war elsewhere. It goes from the trenches in Korea to New York, Paris and Mumbai. Multiplayer and DMZ, the extraction mode, come with it.
