Will GTA 6 be on GeForce NOW? No. How to play it in the cloud anyway

Not on November 19. Rockstar has confirmed PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and nothing else. GTA V came to PC 17 months after the consoles, Red Dead Redemption 2 after 13 months. Nobody outside Rockstar knows the gap this time. Every answer below follows from this one fact: with no PC version, there is nothing for a PC streaming service to run.

No, not at launch. GeForce NOW runs the PC version of a game you own on Steam, Epic or another PC store, and only when the publisher opts in. There is no PC version, and Rockstar has opted none of its games in since it pulled them in 2020. GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are still absent six years later. A GTA 6 listing on GeForce NOW needs both a PC release and a change of mind at Rockstar, and neither has a date.

GeForce NOW cannot stream a game that has no PC version. Do not subscribe for GTA 6.

Same answer, for the same reason. Boosteroid streams PC games from your Steam, Epic or Rockstar Games account. It carries GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 today because those have PC versions. GTA 6 does not, so Boosteroid has nothing to run until Rockstar ships one.

No. Nothing has been announced, and Rockstar has never put a game in either catalogue at launch. GTA V joined Game Pass four times, each time years after release, and left again on April 15, 2026. To play GTA 6 on November 19 you buy it, at full price, on a PS5 or an Xbox Series X|S. A subscription alone gets you nothing.

Possibly, and this is the most likely path for a phone, a laptop or a TV. Since November 2024, Game Pass Ultimate members can stream select games they own digitally, including games that are not on Game Pass. The catch is the word select: each game needs the publisher’s agreement, and Rockstar has said nothing. If it agrees, you would need a digital Xbox copy plus Game Pass Ultimate, and you would stream at up to 1440p. If it does not, the Xbox copy plays on an Xbox only.

This is the one route that depends on Sony’s general rule rather than on a Rockstar decision. PS Plus Premium lets you stream PS5 games you own digitally, on a PS5, on PC, and since November 2025 on the PlayStation Portal. Most PS5 games are covered, but Sony maintains a list, and GTA 6 will not be on it before it exists. If it is, a digital PS5 copy plus Premium gives you GTA 6 in the cloud on launch day, at up to 4K. That still means buying a PS5 game without a PS5, which Sony allows through the web store.

The most plausible way to stream GTA 6 on November 19: a digital PS5 copy and PS Plus Premium. Not confirmed, but it needs no new decision from Rockstar.

Only through one of the two routes above. A Mac or a Windows laptop can run the PS Plus streaming app or the Xbox Cloud page in a browser. A phone can run either app. Nothing runs GTA 6 locally on any of them, and no cloud PC service (Shadow and the like) helps, because a cloud PC is still a PC.
