Is ACE COMBAT 8 on GeForce NOW? No. How to play it on Boosteroid

Boosteroid doesn’t sell games. It runs a copy you already own on its own machines, and for ACE COMBAT 8 that has to be the Steam version: a PS5 or Xbox copy won’t work.

1. Buy the game on Steam. The Standard Edition is $69.99.
2. Create an account on Boosteroid and run its connection test from the device and the network you’ll actually play on.
3. Subscribe to Boosteroid. It costs €16.89 a month or €89.89 a year, and there’s no free plan.
4. Find ACE COMBAT 8, press Play and sign in to Steam. The first launch takes longer, because Boosteroid installs the game first.

Run that test before you pay. In a dogfight, what you notice on a stream is the delay between your stick and the screen, and that’s what the test measures.

No, and there’s no sign it’s coming soon. On Steam, the publisher decides whether GeForce NOW may stream a game, and Bandai Namco hasn’t given ACE COMBAT 8 that permission. NVIDIA hasn’t announced it either.

The series’ history doesn’t help. ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN, on PC since 2019, isn’t on GeForce NOW either, even though NVIDIA streams other Bandai Namco games such as Little Nightmares III and Tales of Arise.

Follow the ACE COMBAT 8 page and you’ll get an email the day a service adds the game.

No. Xbox Cloud Gaming doesn’t offer it, either through Game Pass or to people who buy the Xbox version, as it does for some games. PlayStation Plus doesn’t have it in its catalogue.

Shadow rents you a whole Windows PC, so it often runs games the other services don’t carry, but not this one. Shadow lists ACE COMBAT 8 among the games whose anti-cheat refuses to run on a virtual machine.

Not natively. There’s no Mac version, and Valve rates the game Unsupported on the Steam Deck. On a Mac, Boosteroid’s macOS app streams it, and the same goes for a Chromebook or a phone through its apps or a browser.

ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE is the new game from Project Aces, the Bandai Namco studio behind the series. The campaign follows the pilots of Joker Flight, with first-person story scenes between missions. Online, ACE COMBAT ONLINE brings the series’ first lobby: an air base you walk around with your own avatar before heading into co-op or versus missions, with cross-play between PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
