Is AION 2 on GeForce NOW? Not yet. AION 2 in the cloud, on a Mac and on Steam Deck

Not yet. On Steam, a publisher chooses whether GeForce NOW may stream its game, and NC has said yes for AION 2. NVIDIA still has to add it to its list, and it has not given a date.

NVIDIA already streams THRONE AND LIBERTY, NC’s other open-world MMO, and Guild Wars 2, which NC also owns. Players have asked for AION 2 on NVIDIA’s forum, for the start of early access on September 30.

When GeForce NOW adds AION 2, you will play the Steam version. Add it to your Steam library, it is free, then press Play in the GeForce NOW app. Founder’s Packs bought on Steam come with it. A pack bought on PURPLE stays on PURPLE. Follow the AION 2 page to get an email when a service adds it.

No. Boosteroid does not have AION 2, or THRONE AND LIBERTY.

Shadow rents you a whole Windows PC, which usually runs any game you install. Not AION 2: on September 21, 2026, Shadow added Aion to its list of games whose anti-cheat will not run on a virtual machine. THRONE AND LIBERTY is on the same list.

Not on a Mac or a console. NC makes AION 2 for Windows PCs only. On a Mac, the route will be GeForce NOW’s macOS app, once NVIDIA adds the game.

On a Steam Deck, install the Steam version. Valve has not rated it for the Deck yet. Players who ran the Steam version on Linux during the September test report that it runs. The PURPLE version does not, because of its extra security layer.

AION 2 is free to play from October 5, 2026, at 13:00 UTC, on Steam and PURPLE. The servers are in North America, South America, Europe and Japan, and both launchers share them. Founder’s Packs open the game five days early, from September 30, and add cosmetics and 30 days of the Quai membership.

NC blocks play and payment in some countries, among them Belgium, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Serbia, South Korea and Taiwan. Korea and Taiwan have their own AION 2 servers.

AION 2 is NC’s open-world MMO, the sequel to AION (2008), where players fly with their own wings. It has been live in South Korea and Taiwan since November 2025. The global version is a separate service, with its own servers and changes to its shop for players in the West. It supports DLSS 4.5 on GeForce RTX cards. It plays with a mouse and keyboard, and NC says it is also playable with a controller.
